Paraclete Counseling Center Hiring

Paraclete Counseling Center, a Christian counseling practice in Johns Creek/south Forsyth county, has a private counseling practice opportunity for a counselor.  This 

position is a non-salaried W-2 position with the income coming from fees generated by clientele.  There is a requirement to obtain an associate license in the state of Georgia. 

This is an opportunity to build a private practice that would start as a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time.   We are looking for someone

who would enjoy working as a part of a team in a group practice.  We are looking for a new graduate who will be pursuing licensure after graduation. This person would have a sincere desire to integrate biblical principles into counseling and wants to work in a Christian environment.  The candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the integration of Christian faith in psychological practice and must be active within a local church.   In particular, we are looking for those who perform counseling from an evangelical perspective.  They must also be a self-starter with a willingness to perform marketing duties to promote self and the practice.    

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Provide counseling/therapy to adults, teens and families 
• Prepare treatment plans, complete therapy notes in a timely manner and prepare discharge plans 
• Consult with other professionals in the practice to discuss therapy, treatment and counseling resources and techniques 
• Attend staff meetings 
• Adhere to all ethical and professional standards for the profession 
• Must integrate Biblical principles in all practices as a counselor 
• Actively participate in marketing duties to promote self and the practice 

Minimum Job Requirements: 

• Must be a Christian and be active within an evangelical church 
• Must possess a master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy 
• Must be license eligible 
• Needs to demonstrate an understanding of the integration of Christian/Biblical beliefs and psychological practices
